What and Where is the Teen Area?

Here at the library we have a separate area for teens. It contains a sitting area and also houses the Young Adult (YA) fiction, paperback and comics collections. These collections are listed on the computer as Y or YA. That means they are aimed at grades 7-12.

Our comics collection contains a large selection of manga, also known as Japanese comic books, which are very popular. They are located in the adult area on the wall behind the 800s.

The non-fiction and biographies for teens are interfiled with the juvenile books but are labeled as Y or YA. We have a section for new books, too. Come in and check us out!

Teen Night at the Library

Once a month, usually the 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m., we have some activity for teens. Some examples include Game Night, Anime movies (Japanese animation), Craft Night, and Clue Hunt.

When we are having an Anime Night no registration is needed, but for the Games, Crafts, or the Clue Hunt, registration is required.

Check out our calendar or call the library to see what's happening each month.
