Register and Vote!

The last day to register to vote in Michigan is Monday, October 6th.  Are you registered?  Are your friends and family?  Contact your local Secretary of State or Clerk’s office to register before it’s too late.  Each and every vote counts so don’t pass up this opportunity to be heard.  One small step on your part will have a huge impact on Election Day results.  Don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate in this historic election. It is not only your civic duty, but a privilege that we as Americans take for granted despite the fact that many have died to secure this right.

What's New? TumbleBooks!
Brought to you by the Friends of the Roseville Library

What are TumbleBooks?  The TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach the joy of reading in a format that children will love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.

The TumbleBookLibrary provides enrichment to students who are reading independently with a variety of high interest material. It also provides support to students who require skill building with a variety of exercises. Tumblebooks are also helpful for ESL (English as a Second Language) students.

The TumbleBookLibrary collection is accessed online from every Internet computer in the library or from home through a direct link on our library website (http://www.rosevillelibrary.org/kids.htm).  For more information or assistance, speak with a librarian in Youth Services.

Why not check out  TumbleBooks today and thank the Friends for their generous support.

We need help with shelf reading and shelf cleaning, cart stripping, general clerical work and straightening new magazines.

If you are interested, please pick up a volunteer application and a copy of our Volunteer Policy at the Information Desk and return the completed application. After submitting your volunteer application you will be invited to attend a volunteer orientation.

Please contact Jacalynn Harvey, Assistant Director, for more information at 586-445-5407.
